Santa Ana has a population of 340,240 in 2010, based on FBI reports they saw the largest decrease in the crime rates category with property crime dropping from 6,798 in 2009 to 6,580 in 2010. In California there were 2,758,203 total apartments, 1st in the nation.  In the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, CA area, a population of 13,052,921 had a total of 2,102,973 occupied apartments and the San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, CA population of 4,455,560 had 399,375 units occupied.  

 

The ratio of 151,356 occupied units was lower in the Riverside-San Bernadino-Ontario, CA metropolitan area with a population of 4,350,096 when compared to a Sacramento-Arden-Arcade-Roseville, CA population of 2,196,482 with 125,047 occupied apartments.
