Detroit with a 2010 population of 899,447 saw their property crime incidents fall from 50,929 in 2009 to 47,787 in 2010. This 6.7% decrease was alongside Detroit’s decline in violent crime rates too. Robberies had a 7.8% decrease and as for burglary the decrease was slightly higher reaching 11%.
